Birthday Blog! Plus More Blog Contesting!

Hi everyone!

Good to see your beautiful faces here!  Oh wait... I can't see your beautiful faces at all....

Hmmm.....

Anywho, here ARE some beautiful faces wishing a happy birthday (which is today) to a friend and online acquaintance of mine.  This video was hard to make... but I wanted to try to do something nice for Tazer 'cause she is such a rad bitch and she keeps me laughin' on the ol' twitter.  When we get sucked into a conversation, my phone won't stop beeping notifying me of each of her tweets.  Special thanks to @slolife82 for prompting me to do this.  He's a hell of a good guy, in my estimation.  Happy birthday Tazer!

(Tazer is @tazerwp on twitter and her awesome and hilarious blog can be found by clicking here, by the way.  Why don't you all mob up on her blog or her twitter with some birthday wishes, even if they are a little belated?)

Also, the one lady says she's from your hometown, Tazer, because initially she asked WHERE you were from in California and I was in a hurry so I just said "San Diego, or something" because I didn't remember where you are from... so she didn't know what she was talking about despite her awesome enthusiasm. :-)

Okay, next thing, here is a video blog of me.  I respond to some blog shenanigans and recite a poem in it and talk about my experience of some bigotry.  The bigotry wasn't at all that kind of "hard core Southern Style" bigotry like we see in the movies... and I am sure that some of you have suffered way way worse than this.  I've remained relatively un-harassed most of my life by bigoted cruelty because I am a white dude and because I used to dress in a "button down" fashion and stuff.  Lucky me (sarcasm).  This was an eye opening experience, innocuous though it seemed.

The outfit that got me bigoted.  Do you want to bigot me? *wink wink*

If you watch the video and are frustrated about the "blog shenanigans" regarding some of my previous poetry reading, you should write your own blog in response to The Tsaritsa's contest.  I mean... someone might as well take this dick hole's iPod, since he sent it to her apparently to make sure I couldn't win the little monsters she is offering.  See about the letter and the iPod here at her blog.  That post links back to the original contest posting.  All you have to do is post a blog about what you are passionate about and how you discovered that passion.  Half of you are always wondering "what should I write a blog about today" anyway, right?  So do this and stand a chance at a cool gadget, for fuck's sake. :-)  And if you are reading my blog, I KNOW you are passionate about SOMETHING. Even if it's something sick :-p.

Also, I have been selected to do a live poetry reading at the school which I attend.  I will be one of two student poets and one of four readers total.  I am SHOCKED and amazed and... flattered.  If you live near me, you can come listen.  October 20th.  Bring tomatos! :-)

Ok.... a couple of other things I need you to check out quick are the following:

This is my buddy Trea's SoundCloud page.  You can peep the cool music he has been making there.  He also has a blog, to which I have linked in my links page.  I have had the opportunity to get to know him while he has been producing some of these awesome beats.  He has a message of love and music for the world and you GOTSTA check it.

This is my buddy Tony Walker's music page where he posts music that he and his brother make.  Tony is... just phenomenal people.  He is hilarious and talented at writing, painting, and playing music among other things.  Check out the songs "Captivity" and "Black Holes."  And then the others!  He's @YnotWalker on twitter.  Follow him to get poetry and laughs in 140 character pieces.  Good man.

Here is a song about LOVE, baby.  I LOVE this song.

Here's another song about life and LOVE that was brought to my attention by a cousin of mine recently.  Thanks, M.  :-) *hug*

Last but not least, this is the important one... which none of you got to because my blog posts are so damn long....  FMB (fuck my blog? lol)

(I don't agree with what this woman proposes as a course of action, but that doesn't matter so much.  Her message about "the golden rule" is the way I want to live the rest of my life: treat people as I want to be treated.  Treat people as I want to be treated.  Treat people as I want to be treated!!!!!)

One more thing... if any of you think I'm wrong for wanting to love everyone, or you think you can convince me logically that it is not "good" or "feasible" or "pragmatic"... I love you... and also....

LOVE!

Couldn't get an e-mail through so regarding the previous vlog....You are amazing! You inspire me. I am a Christian. Do you realize that all you have felt since the spring is....God? Were you looking for Him? Did you have a hole in you that nothing would fill? And in listening further..it sounds as though you are prepared to be a vessel for God. The reason you have difficulty understanding what is "happening" to you is that God is not only speaking to you but He is speaking to others through you. The pure love. The forgiveness. You are not crazy! Rejoice! I only ask one thing. You do not feel the need for food or rest. Please eat when hungry and sleep. You are worthy and even though others suffer, be grateful for what God gives you. Besides, I think you will need to be strong and healthy as it seems God has alot in store for you. Peace. (this is middlechild)

As for the bigot at the grocery store, I feel that when you have a problem with someone else it actually is a problem inside of you. I try to keep this in mind when someone tries to ruin my day with their bad attitude. The problem he had with you was in reality a problem he has with himself. You've probably realized this looking back on your own prejudices. The issue you had was within you and you had to fix that to get over your bigotry. Once you are comfortable with yourself other people can't bother you so much. I feel sorry now for people who judge. They think that stuff really matters. How full their lives could be if they realized none of that matters. All humans are just people. No matter who they are. You are right to love everyone. If more people were as open as you the human race might see that we are all humans suffering the same human insecurities. And then we'd have no reason to be insecure. Happy days! If no one has recommended the movie/documentary What the Bleep Do We Know to you they should have!
Love.

You were quite right to let your friend know that you have love in your heart for him, despite what he may have in intense dislike in his for you, or for who he thought you were!! It would be nice if we all had love and if we were all right when we thought we were. As for the dude who knocked your poetry well, where is his so that we can all be blessed by its greatness? It takes courage to share these things, thank you to all the brave people!!!
