Racquetball In Boulder Area, Plus Other Shit

Hello, friends!

What's up? Let me show you this cool drawing I did:

In Decision

Some of you may recall that I was going to try to start learning how to draw.  This was my first attempt at drawing a human figure since then.  This is the most effort that I have ever put into a drawing of a human, and I am really pumped up to share it with you guys!  Tell me what you think about it.  The face turned out a little long, so it doesn't resemble Jera as much as I had wanted, although the drawing as a whole resembles her more than I had expected.

Re: My Previous Post/Blog Stuff

I wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciated the conversation that ensued after my video blog the other day.  That was awesome for me.  I am interested in talking to other people and turning this blog into more of a place where ideas are discussed and bounced around instead of a place where I just blow my mouth off like an idiot on a bi-weekly basis.

To that end, I am wondering if any of you have strong opinions on blog comment formats?  I have seen stuff like "Disqus" and other such apps.  I don't know how easy they are to work with though, and frankly I am a bit wary.  I think I would sacrifice reliability for functionality by switching to Disqus...

I am really interested in someone else using this space to talk about something or display something that seems fascinating and relevant.  So if there are any guest bloggers out there, we might could do something, too.

Also: I want to write and create for other peoples' blogs and publications.  So if anyone has anything brewin' you ought to let me know.

Racquetball

I started going to the gym to play racquetball a few months ago.  Hours of solitary enjoyment have been mine as a result.  Now it's time for me to find someone to play with.  Here's the craigslist ad I posted earlier today.

If you live in the Boulder area and you know a person from either Scenario A, B or C, please e-mail them this link:

Also, link them to my blog, for Christmas' sake!
And link all your cool friends here too.

Tell me what you think about the racquetball ad.  And lets talk about how we can make this a more communal/think-tank environment.  A philosophical think-tank with jenkem and cross dressing.

Love.

Watch out, Mr. Blue Eyes, I think your ad may end up attracting a B-type person of the opposite gender (maybe living in Atlanta has slightly shaped my expectations of people though).

If you live in an apartment and there is a bulletin board near the mail area, you could post something there as well.

Oh, I have a friend who lives in Colorado Springs. If that's a do-able distance, I can maybe put you two in contact. I think he plays ...

nice craigslist post. i'm interested to see what kind of feedback you get from it lol.

what if you had like a weekly/monthly/bimonthly/whateverthefuckyouwant topic? like 'gorillas'. and then we would all share ideas and what not about gorillas. i for one was stared down by a silverback at disney's animal kingdom and have a great photo of it. he wasn't my type though.

I think you already do a pretty good job of keeping this place an open forum for discussion. However, if you needc specifics, what you did last time seemed to work quite well. Just express your ideas about a topic, and then issue a challenge to the rest of us to express our own ideas on that same topic.

I love the drawing! I can't draw worth crap, so I'm always impressed with people who have artistic talent.

I like the Craigslist ad. Adding action shots of yourself in racquetball attire was a nice touch. I have a dad and brothers who all play raquetball pretty well, but I think the commute between Utah and Colorado would be a bit daunting for them...

George: Thank you.

Chaplain Donna: I like when you are here. Whether you are writing something or just LOLing. :-)

Meredith: Colo springs is too far... and I may have to try your bulletin board idea. ;-)

Steph: When a silverback gorilla decides you are his type... usually that pretty much settles the issue anyway unless you have a tranquilizer nearby.

Candice: Thanks. I was really excited about the drawing! And where in Utah are you, again? I have lived in roosevelt.

I don't like to divulge my exact location into the blogosphere. Let's just say I'm about 3 hours outside of Roosevelt. :)

Down with Disqus. You have to sign up to be able to leave comments and it jacks up my computer. ...Nice drawing by the way. Keep at it! ...As for the racquetball ad, wow! How could anyone not want to play with you and your blue balls?
